Al-Nassr has decided on the fate of the head coach
Saudi club Al-Nassr has decided on the future of head coach Luís Castro for the next season. This was confirmed by the club's CEO, Guido Fienga , to Saudi World Football.
"Head coach Luís Castro will continue working with the team. Al-Nassr has achieved good results during Castro's tenure," said Guido Fienga.
Luís Castro has been at the helm of Al-Nassr since 2023. The contract of the 62-year-old Portuguese coach, who oversees the team featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, runs until the summer of 2025.
In the recently concluded season, the Riyadh-based team finished second in the Saudi Pro League, trailing champions Al-Hilal by 14 points.
Al-Nassr also lost to Al-Hilal in the final of the King’s Cup of Saudi Arabia. This marked the seventh tournament loss since Ronaldo’s signing at the end of 2022.
