All the favourites through. Semi-final matchups set in the Olympic hockey tournament

All quarter-final games in the ice hockey tournament at the 2026 Winter Olympics have now been completed, confirming the four semi-finalists.

Details: The least dramatic contest proved to be the clash between Slovakia and Germany, with the Slovaks cruising to a commanding 6–2 victory. Every other quarter-final, however, delivered edge-of-the-seat drama and required overtime to produce a winner.

Canada edged past the Czech Republic 4–3 in overtime, Finland battled to a 3–2 overtime win against Switzerland, and the United States overcame Sweden 2–1, also in overtime. Each of those matchups went beyond regulation time.
