Russian boxer Alexander Pavetkin received a four-year ban. In addition, all his results have been cancelled.

Details: The International Testing Agency (ITA) has announced that Russian boxer Alexander Povetkin violated anti-doping regulations, specifically due to the banned substance ostarine, which was detected in a sample taken back in 2014. As a result, Povetkin has been handed a four-year suspension from October 21, 2024, to October 20, 2028.

Additionally, the ITA has annulled all of Povetkin’s results from 2014 to 2024. However, this ban will not affect the boxer’s current plans, as Povetkin retired in 2021 following his loss to Dillian Whyte.

Reminder: The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) is set to hold a meeting on February 3 and 4 to discuss the potential reintegration of the Russian and Belarusian national teams for the 2025/26 season.

The 48-year-old heavyweight icon Wladimir Klitschko recently considered the possibility of returning to the ring. However, it seems that the legendary figure of the heavyweight division is no longer intrigued by the idea.
