Details: According to Mundo Deportivo, Atlético Madrid’s management has reached out to the representatives of 26-year-old forward Julián Álvarez to offer him a new contract.

Amid swirling rumors about Álvarez’s possible departure during the summer transfer window, the "Colchoneros" are reportedly prepared to boost his salary to €10 million per year, along with additional bonuses, which would make the Argentine the highest-paid player at the club.

Álvarez himself has previously stated that he’s happy at Atlético, but cannot say for certain where he’ll be playing next season.

This season, Álvarez has played 44 matches for Atlético, scoring 17 goals and providing 9 assists. His current contract with the Colchoneros runs until 2030, his market value according to Transfermarkt is €90 million, and his release clause with Atlético stands at €500 million.
