Álvarez himself still doesn't know where he'll end up next season.
Details: After a confident victory over Tottenham in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16, the 25-year-old Atlético Madrid striker responded to a journalist's question about his possible move to Barcelona.

According to Álvarez, he has had no contact with Barcelona and all the media rumors are pure fiction. However, he admits he's not sure if he'll stay in Madrid next season:
"I'm really happy here, I've never said anything about 'Barcelona'!
Everything turned into a big mess because of the comments, but I genuinely feel great here.
Will I be here next year? I don't know, maybe yes, maybe no, but as of today, I'm happy." Álvarez admitted.
The media have linked Julián Álvarez with Barcelona several times before, but as we can see, there is currently no concrete interest from the Catalan side.
This season, Álvarez has played 41 matches for Los Colchoneros, scoring 16 goals and providing 7 assists. His current contract with the club runs until 2030, and his transfer value is estimated at €100 million by Transfermarkt.
