Details: Today, it was announced that the English Premier League committee has decided to ban the knee slide goal celebration due to the high risk of injury associated with the move.

The ban will come into force as early as January 2026. If a player breaks the rule and celebrates a goal this way, the referee will have no choice but to issue a yellow card.
According to the league, this celebration is dangerous and can lead to injuries such as turf burns or joint strains, following growing concerns about the risks tied to this popular move.
Football has already seen cases where players suffered injuries from similar celebrations.
