Chelsea striker Liam Delap has suffered a serious shoulder injury during the Premier League's Matchweek 15 clash against Bournemouth.
Details: According to journalist Alex Crook, medical examination has confirmed the severity of the injury, and Delap will now be sidelined for between six and eight weeks.
Delap picked up the injury in the first half after a collision inside the penalty area and was forced to leave the pitch. This marks his second major setback of the season—he previously missed two months with a hamstring injury.
The forward is now expected to return no earlier than late January or early February.
Reminder: Lyon plans to sign Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi this winter.
