Al-Ittihad completes transfer of Barcelona's 20-year-old player
Al-Ittihad has decided to invest not only in experienced players but also in the next generation.
Details: According to insider Fabrizio Romano, 20-year-old Barcelona player Unai Hernández is moving to Saudi Arabia. Al-Ittihad has reached a verbal agreement with the Spanish club. They will pay €4.5 million plus €500,000 in bonuses. The deal also includes a resale clause.
Meanwhile, Gavi and Barcelona have agreed on a new contract, which will run until June 2031.
Reminder: Since joining Barcelona, Wojciech Szczęsny initially struggled to compete with Iñaki Peña. It wasn’t until late 2024 that the Polish goalkeeper made his debut for Flick’s team, leaving a strong impression on the German coach.
Barcelona scored their 100th goal under Flick in a 7-1 victory against Valencia last Sunday. Barça scored 58 goals in La Liga, 26 in the Champions League, 9 came in Spanish Cup matches and another 7 in the Super Cup.
