Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson of Liverpool sustained multiple injuries in September and October, sidelining him for over a month. This time, the player is taking a cautious approach to his recovery to avoid a recurrence.
Details: Alisson shared that his recovery is progressing well, but the latest injury requires extra attention, meaning he will take his time before making his return.
Quote: "My recovery is going very well. It's been seven weeks since the injury. It was a tendon injury in the hamstring, so whenever it's a tendon, it's something more delicate. And since I had an injury a few days before that, just a couple of weeks earlier, it requires even more care and a longer recovery time. So everything is going very well, just as planned," Alisson told Liverpool Echo.
Reminder: It was previously reported that Alisson would return to the field after the November international break. In the meantime, Caoimhin Kelleher is filling in as the goalkeeper.
