Aliou Cisse could succeed Maher Kanzari at ES Tunis
The Senegalese tactician is reportedly in negotiations with the Tunisian club.
Espérance Sportive de Tunis is looking for a successor to Maher Kanzari, who was sacked a few days ago following the team's defeat against Stade Malien in the fifth round of the CAF Champions League group stage. But the second-placed team in the 2025-26 Tunisian league season is said to have Aliou Cisse's name on its shortlist.
Local sources report that the two parties are in negotiations to reach an agreement with the 49-year-old Senegalese tactician. Currently coach of the Libyan national team, Aliou Cisse is said to be interested in the Tunisian club's project. The former coach of the Lions of Teranga is said to be attracted by the idea of embarking on a new adventure despite his contract with the Libyan national team, which runs until 30 June 2027.
