It seems that another European football star is set to join the Saudi Arabian league this summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Saudi Arabian champions Al-Hilal have made an offer to Manchester City for the transfer of right-back João Cancelo. The English club is expected to agree.
Al-Hilal is offering Cancelo a lucrative three-year contract, though the Portuguese defender has yet to make a final decision.
Today, it was reported that Barcelona has officially abandoned the idea of re-signing Cancelo, who played for them on loan last season. During his time with the Catalan club, Cancelo made 42 appearances, scored 4 goals, and provided 5 assists.
Al-Hilal has already claimed the Saudi Super Cup this season, defeating Al-Nassr 4-1 in the final.
