Algeria's Adem Zorgane Responds to Criticism Following Guinea-Bissau Stalemate
Adem Zorgane, the talented midfielder from Algeria and captain of Charleroi, has responded to the criticism he received after the 0-0 draw against Equatorial Guinea in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
In an interview with the Algerian Press Agency, Zorgane said:
"As a professional player, I have to accept criticism. I follow the coach's instructions, and with more games, I'll get better."
Zorgane also mentioned the tough conditions in Malabo, where the team had to deal with high temperatures and humidity. He promised fans that they would perform better in the next match against Liberia.
Talking about his partnership with fellow midfielder Ramiz Zerrouki, Zorgane defended his teammate, calling him "talented and smart." He added, "We have a great understanding on the field and a strong friendship off the field."
With Algeria having secured their place in the 2025 AFCON finals, Zorgane concluded:
"Our next goal is consistency and securing qualification for the 2026 World Cup."
