There’s hope in Madrid that this is nothing more than a minor scare.

Details: According to Spanish radio COPE, Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni is experiencing minor muscle troubles. The 26-year-old Frenchman will follow an individual training program for the next few days.

The injury is not believed to be serious: the holding midfielder is expected to be fully fit for the start of the season. José Mourinho’s Real Madrid kick off the new La Liga campaign at home against Real Sociedad this coming weekend.

It’s worth noting that Tchouaméni already struggled with muscle issues earlier this summer: he missed a match for France at the World Cup due to a thigh injury and was sidelined twice last club season with muscle problems. Real’s medical staff are taking an extremely cautious approach to prevent a recurrence.

Reminder: Midfielder to stay with the team. Mourinho blocks Real Madrid transfer.
