Al Ahly faces a major setback as striker Wissam Abu Ali sustained an injury during the November international break while representing Palestine. The 25-year-old was part of Palestine’s squad for their 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Oman and South Korea.

The Palestinian Football Association announced on Monday that Abu Ali is injured and will miss their next game against South Korea. More information about the injury will be shared after he returns to Cairo for a medical check-up.

Abu Ali played the entire match in Palestine's recent 1-0 loss to Oman. His absence is a big loss for both the national team and his club, Al Ahly, especially considering his strong performance this season.

Abu Ali has made eight appearances for Al Ahly this season, tallying five goals and dishing out one assist. He has scored 24 goals and provided 7 assists in 34 games since joining the team in January 2023, solidifying his position as a key member.
