Al Ahly SC moves closer to the Egyptian League as Pyramids FC stumbles!

Al Ahly took another step towards winning this season's Egyptian Premier League title after direct rivals Pyramids FC stumbled to a 4-2 defeat at Al Ahly Bank, boosting the Red Fortress' chances of winning the league with three seasons to go.

Al Ahly's 4-2 win over Al Borsaiedi moved them to the top of the standings with 49 points, ahead of second-place Pyramids with 47 points, while Zamalek dropped to third place with 41 points. Al Ahly has only three games left against Ceramica, Al Ahly Bank, and Fargo to win the title, provided they win or rely on Pyramids' stumbling.
