Egyptian giants Al Ahly failed to advance to the playoff stage of the FIFA Club World Cup, and in the wake of that setback, the club’s hierarchy is planning a meeting with head coach José Riveiro.
Details: According to Youm7, Al Ahly will have a two-week break following the Club World Cup, during which the management will sit down with Riveiro.
The goal is to address several pressing issues, most notably to analyze why the team struggled during the tournament. Club executives want to hear the Spanish coach’s evaluation of the competition.
For José Riveiro, this was his first official tournament at the helm of the “Red Giants,” having taken charge shortly before the competition kicked off.
It’s worth noting: Earlier reports had hinted at the possibility of Riveiro’s dismissal. However, those rumors have since been dispelled, with the club currently not considering such a move.
