Al Ahly Leads as GS Awards Approach: The Middle East’s Top Club and Player Nominees Revealed

With intense competition for the coveted Best Club and Player in the World and Best Club and Player in the Middle East honors, the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards race has reached a boiling point. Football luminaries and club representatives are expected to attend the esteemed ceremony, which is scheduled on December 27 in Dubai.
Globe Soccer has announced eight categories for this year’s awards, including Best Player, Best Coach and Best Club, as well as regional awards for the Middle East. The full list of nominees has been revealed, featuring 33 players, including stars such as Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé, Vinicius Junior, Robert Lewandowski and Mohamed Salah.
European powerhouses like Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, and Paris Saint-Germain are up against Arab clubs Al Ahly from Egypt and Al Ain from the United Arab Emirates in the fierce fight for Best Club. With 32.9% of the vote, Al-Ahly is presently ahead of Real Madrid (27.4%). With 29.6% of the vote, Al-Ahly leads the Middle East category as well, surpassing Al Nassr, Al Ain, and Al Hilal.
The public vote will constitute 20% of the decision, while the remaining 80% will be determined by the jury.
