Al Ahly Celebrates Milestone with Grand Event at Hatshepsut Temple, Unveils New Stadium Design


An important milestone for the Egyptian team has been reached with the official unveiling of the completed layout for Al Ahly SC's new football stadium in Sheikh Zayed. At the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Trophy Tour, the news was made in a grand ceremony held at Luxor's Hatshepsut Temple.
The stadium is part of a fully integrated sports city, a project described by the club’s Al Qalaa Al Hamraa company as the "Project of the Century." The development, estimated at 8 billion Egyptian pounds, will include:
- A 42,000-seat stadium
- A specialized sports hospital
- A sports museum documenting Al Ahly’s history
- A university for sports education
- A youth sports academy
- A hotel for players and staff
Official Permits & Construction Timeline
Al Ahly has received official excavation and construction permits from Egypt’s New Urban Communities Authority, completing all necessary procedures and payments. At the event, which featured a live broadcast on ON Time Sports and attracted a lot of media attention, the full building plan and schedule were revealed.
