Al Ahly Approves New Stadium Design as Club Gears Up for World Cup

The Al Ahly Board of Directors, led by Mahmoud El Khatib, has approved the final design for the club’s new stadium, which will be built and managed by Al Qalaa Al Hamraa Company.

This long-awaited project is now becoming a reality with the support of the board.

El Khatib thanked the previous Al Ahly Sports Facilities Company board, which was led by Eng. Ayman Ismail, for their hard work.

He also acknowledged the commitment of the present board, which is headed by Eng. Tamer Nasr. Additionally, he commended Al Qalaa Al Hamraa Company for sticking to the project deadline.

The official stadium design will be unveiled in a grand ceremony on February 14.

Al Ahly Prepares for Club World Cup

During the same meeting, the board reviewed the preparations for welcoming the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 trophy, which will visit Cairo as part of its global tour before the tournament in the United States.

The draw placed Al Ahly in Group A alongside:

• Palmeiras (Brazil)
• Porto (Portugal)

If Al Ahly qualifies, they will face a team from Group B, which includes Paris Saint-Germain, Atlético Madrid, Botafogo, and Seattle Sounders.

Club World Cup Trophy Arrives in Cairo

Tomorrow (Tuesday), a FIFA delegation will carry the inaugural Club World Cup 2025 trophy to Cairo.

As part of a promotional trip, the trophy will stay in Cairo on February 13 and 14. Egypt's representative in the competition, Al Ahly, will host the occasion.
