The transfer saga rages on.
Details: According to journalist and insider Ekrem Konur on his social media page X, 24-year-old Manchester United and Uruguay national team defensive midfielder Manuel Ugarte has become a top target for Turkish side Galatasaray and Dutch giants Ajax.
Reports indicate that both clubs are considering a loan deal for Ugarte until the end of the season. Galatasaray, however, is proposing an option to buy in the contract, while Ajax are only interested in a six-month loan.

Manchester United have made it clear that a loan move is off the table, making Galatasaray’s offer far more attractive to the Red Devils’ board.
Negotiations between all parties are ongoing at the moment.
Ugarte joined Manchester United in 2024 from PSG for €50 million. This season, he has made 18 appearances for United but is yet to register a goal or assist.
His current contract with Manchester runs until 2029, and his market value is estimated at €30 million by Transfermarkt.
