Agreement reached: Bayern and Alphonso Davies finalize contract extension
The contract saga surrounding Alphonso Davies has stretched on for the past six months, with speculation linking the Canadian to a potential move to Real Madrid. However, he has ultimately decided to remain in Munich.
Details: According to The Athletic insider David Ornstein, Davies has pledged his future to Bayern and will sign a 4.5-year contract with the club. The new deal will run until 2030.
Bayern’s management is currently finalizing the paperwork, and the extension is expected to be completed this week.
Earlier reports indicated that Davies' salary will be around €15 million per season. The 24-year-old's current contract with Bayern was set to expire at the end of this season.
Reminder: Bayern Munich’s press service recently announced a contract extension for 38-year-old Manuel Neuer until June 2026. The financial terms of Neuer’s new deal have not been disclosed.
