Zouma's agent loses court case against ex-Chelsea director over commission fees for player's transfer to West Ham
Recently, we reported that Kurt Zouma's agent, Saif Alrubi, filed a lawsuit against former Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia, claiming the club owed him commission fees for the Frenchman's transfer to West Ham in 2021. The court has reviewed the case and delivered its verdict.
Details: The case was handled by the London Commercial Court, and as reported by the Daily Mail, the decision was made in favor of Granovskaia, effectively closing the case. The verdict also noted that Judge David Quest stated Alrubi should have taken the matter to the Football Association arbitration. The agent was also ordered to pay £150,000 plus VAT as interim costs.
Reminder: Previously, Alrubi held Granovskaia responsible for not receiving his commission for Zouma's transfer to West Ham. According to FIFA regulations, an agent acting on behalf of the selling club is entitled to 10 percent of the transfer fee, which means Alrubi was due approximately 3.5 million euros.
