Liverpool's star player Mohamed Salah could start negotiations with other clubs as early as winter 2025, with his contract expiring next summer.

Football agent Rob Jansen, who works with one of the coaches in Arne Slot's staff, has explained why the Merseyside club has yet to offer Salah a new deal.

Details: On the KieftJansenEgmondGijp podcast, Jansen suggests that the lack of progress is down to Liverpool's sporting director, Richard Hughes. According to Jansen, Hughes is new to the role and lacks the necessary empathy in such situations.

Quote: "He’s new to the club. And one thing Richard Hughes doesn't have is empathy. Zero. He’s like a robot. I know this because I negotiated with him about Heitinga. He has no feelings. This could be the reason, especially with a player like Salah, who has emotions, comes from a different culture, and is sensitive to warmth," Jansen shared this theory.

Reminder: Liverpool’s leader and star, Mohamed Salah, has pointed out that as December approaches, the Reds have yet to take any steps toward extending his contract.
