With coach Okan Buruk benching the Moroccan international from the starting lineup once more in the team's last game against Sivasspor in the Turkish Süper Lig, Hakim Ziyech's time at Galatasaray looks to be coming to an end.

Buruk chose Turkish winger Yunus Akgün for the right-wing position, leaving Ziyech on the bench even though he was available. Ziyech's absence raises the possibility of him being out of the coach's plans, which could lead to a swap deal in the winter.

The winger's chances of leaving are increasing due to his limited playing time, poor performances and unfavourable comments from Galatasaray fans after his appearance as a mediocre substitute. Ziyech has featured in just seven matches this season, contributing one assist, as injuries and tactical decisions kept him sidelined for much of the campaign.

With the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations approaching, Ziyech faces the risk of being excluded from Morocco’s squad unless he secures a move to a club where he can regain his form and regular playing time.

Ziyech's time at Galatasaray, after joining from Chelsea in 2023, may be coming to a close after only one and a half seasons, as both player and club seek a change in the upcoming transfer window.
