After Announcing His Desire to Leave, Maâloul Could Move to Zamalek as Part of Rivalry Response
Reports suggest that Zamalek's interested in signing Ali Maâloul, the left back from Al Ahly, after his agent confirmed the player’s desire to leave the club. Maâloul, who was injured in the CAF Champions League, has recovered but hasn't been reinstated into the team, leading to his frustration.
His agent, John Edward, issued statement saying they decided to leave to avoid putting pressure on the club, as Al Ahly hasn’t discussed his future despite his full recovery.
Following this, some reports revealed that Maâloul has been offered to Zamalek, with the club considering the possibility. Zamalek fans are excited by the potential transfer, partly as response to Al Ahly’s nearing deal with Moroccan Achraf Bencherki.
However, other sources clarify that Al Ahly plans to register Maâloul in the squad as tribute to his successful career.
