After 8 years. Fenerbahçe wins the basketball EuroLeague

This weekend, Abu Dhabi hosted the EuroLeague Basketball Final Four. Following Saturday’s semifinals, the finalists were set—Fenerbahçe and Monaco battled for the title of Europe’s best team.
The French side reached the championship game for the first time and looked solid in the first half. The turning point came in the final minutes of the second quarter, when the Turkish squad managed to take the lead. Fenerbahçe held onto their advantage in the third quarter and pulled further ahead early in the decisive final ten minutes. The final buzzer sealed an 81-70 victory for the Turkish club.
Notably, this triumph marks only the second EuroLeague title in the history of the Istanbul club. Fenerbahçe first lifted this prestigious trophy back in 2017.
For the record, Olympiacos claimed third place after overcoming their historic rivals, Panathinaikos.
