Santos star Neymar faced yet another wave of discontent from fans when he posted a picture on Instagram wearing a jersey of the German club St. Pauli. The footballer quickly deleted the post, but many managed to notice and save the photo.
What's the reason for the deletion? It's all about politics.
The football club St. Pauli has long and consistently adhered to left-wing political views, while Neymar supports Brazilian politician Jair Bolsonaro, known for his right-wing views. As a result, after the photo was posted, some users pointed out the contradictions between the Brazilian's ideological stance and that of the German club.
It is worth noting that in 2022, Neymar openly supported Bolsonaro in the presidential elections in Brazil.
