AFCON 2027 qualifiers: Benin name squad for double-header against the Central African Republic
The names of the Cheetahs who will represent Benin in the third and fourth matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers were unveiled on Saturday 31 October.
Head coach Gernot Rohr has called up 25 players to face the Central African Republic on 12 and 16 November. The squad comprises three goalkeepers, eight defenders, eight midfielders and six forwards.
Benin will host the Central African Republic on matchday three before travelling away for matchday four. However, as neither country has a CAF-approved stadium, the match will have to be played elsewhere, as was the case for the previous two matchdays.
Benin began their qualifying campaign with a draw and a win last September. The Cheetahs currently top Group F.
