ADVANTAGE MILFORD! Milford FC wins the PSL Promotion Play-Off first match against Cape Town City

MIlford FC took control of the PSL Promotion/Relegation Play-Off mini league with a 1-0 victory over Cape Town City this afternoon.

Dr Xhanti Phuphuma's men left the Athlone Stadium with three points after a penalty goal which was scored by Siphosethu Ndlabi.

Ndlabi's first half spot kick ensured the vital points for the Kwa-Zulu Natal side as it also dented City's plans to start the Play-Offs on a positive note.

City are a former PSL side and they have been on a mission to return to the elite division with immediate effect having been relegated last season.

Interestingly, City never beat The Stallions last season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship campaign.

It was Milford who won the first round game 1-0 and drew the second round match 2-2.

This loss will put pressure on City ahead of their game against Magesi FC who complete the three team mini league.
Magesi FC finished 15th on the PSL standings which qualified them for the Play-Offs.

City will be banking on a win in that game perhaps.
