Paris Saint-Germain right-back Achraf Hakimi expressed gratitude to coach Luis Enrique for his assistance, stating that he has really improved under the Spanish manager's tutelage.
In an interview with PSG's official website, Hakimi emphasized his satisfaction with both his individual performance and the outstanding results the squad has achieved this year. He also expressed his hope for further success on both a personal and team level.
"Hakimi praised Enrique for instilling confidence in him and helping him view the game differently. "Enrique has taught me how to adjust my position during matches, and he deserves credit for that," Hakimi stated.
He also felt proud when Enrique called him the best right-back he has worked with. Hakimi said those words make him want to work even harder for the coach and the club.
Hakimi further shared his pride in wearing the PSG captain’s armband, learning leadership from fellow defenders Presnel Kimpembe and Marquinhos. He also expressed his desire to remain at the club for a long time.
Hakimi ended by saying that he was thrilled to be nominated for the 2024 Ballon d'Or as Africa's best player and that he was looking forward to a potential win alongside his family, who he considers to be the most important part of his life.
