AC Milan is close to securing the purchase of versatile right-back Filippo Terracciano from Verona. According to reports from the well-known Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, Milan representatives have held a meeting with the player's agent, reaching an agreement on a contract that extends until 2028.

The remaining negotiations involve Verona, who holds the player's transfer rights until 2026. The potential transfer fee hasn't been disclosed.

Terracciano, capable of playing both in central defense and as a right-back, has appeared in 19 matches for Verona across all competitions this season, contributing with one assist. Transfermarkt values the versatile player at €3.5 million.

Previously, it was noted that Milan's priority in the January transfer window would be securing a central defender due to the team facing issues in that position due to a high number of injuries.

The Rossoneri currently hold the third spot in Serie A after 18 rounds. Today, on January 2nd, Stefano Pioli's team will face Cagliari in the round of 16 of the Coppa Italia. The match kicks off at 21:00 Central European Time.
