AC Milan are closing in on acquiring the versatile Tottenham defender

AC Milan is nearing the acquisition of versatile Tottenham defender Emerson Royal.

According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, negotiations between the clubs are in the final stages. The transfer fee is expected to be €15 million plus bonuses.

The player's contract will be valid until 2029, with an annual salary of €2 million.

The 25-year-old Brazilian has been playing for Tottenham since 2021, after transferring from Barcelona for €25 million.

Additionally, AC Milan defender Alessandro Florenzi underwent surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his right knee. He is expected to be out for up to eight months.
