Absolute madness in England! From 1-4 down to a stunning 5-4 victory with a 90+4' winner
English football has witnessed one of the most incredible comebacks of the season.
Details: On Saturday, November 7, Cardiff City hosted Burnley in the 15th round of the EFL Championship. The encounter turned into an extraordinary nine-goal thriller, with the hosts recovering from a 1-4 deficit to secure a sensational 5-4 victory thanks to a stoppage-time winner.
Burnley made a flying start, with Andreas Hountondji opening the scoring in the 15th minute before Marcus Edwards doubled the advantage ten minutes later. Ollie Tanner pulled one back for Cardiff in the 40th minute, leaving the visitors 2-1 ahead at half-time.
Things appeared hopeless for the hosts after the break. Largie Ramazani made it 3-1 in the 55th minute, and Alex Robertson's own goal seven minutes later extended Burnley's lead to 4-1. However, Cardiff refused to surrender.
Yousef Salech scored in the 65th minute, Jack Moylan converted a penalty in the 75th, and Salech completed his brace in the 82nd to level the score at 4-4. Then came the extraordinary finale: in the 90+4th minute, Robertson redeemed himself for his earlier own goal by scoring the winner with a stunning long-range strike.
Remarkably, Cardiff's previous home match was another six-goal thriller. On November 4, the Welsh side led West Ham 3-0 at half-time but eventually drew 3-3 after conceding three second-half goals.
