In the match of the 23rd round of the Premier League, Arsenal hosted Manchester United and suffered a 2–3 defeat. This loss made it impossible to achieve a unique record.

Details: In the 2004/05 Premier League season, Chelsea conceded only 15 goals across the entire campaign. In the current season, Arsenal had come close to that benchmark and were in contention to surpass it. However, it is now certain that they will not.

After the match against Manchester United, the Gunners have conceded 17 goals. As a result, the Blues’ record will remain intact for at least one more season.

Recall: This was the first time since December 2023 that Arsenal conceded more than two goals in a single match. They had played 121 consecutive matches in all competitions without conceding more than two goals.
