Jonathan Tah had an exceptional previous season at Bayer Leverkusen. His impressive performances attracted interest from several clubs, but he remained with his current team. However, it is now reported that he does not plan to renew his contract.

Details: After a phenomenal season, many clubs expressed interest in the defender. One of the main contenders was Barcelona, who made an offer of €20 million to the German champions, but it was rejected. Tah stayed at Leverkusen but has since announced his intention to leave the club next summer.

Quote: In an interview with Süddeutsche Zeitung, Tah stated:

"I’m not going to sign a new contract with Bayer Leverkusen. I’ve made my decision.

I will give my all until the end, and then we’ll see what happens with my future club. But my decision is to go and seek a new experience."

Reminder: Tah was pursued not only by Barcelona but also by Bayern Munich. It is likely that next summer he will be flooded with offers from various top clubs, especially since he will leave as a free agent.

Last season, he made 48 appearances for the team, scoring six goals and providing one assist.

Earlier, France Football announced the list of nominees for the title of Club of the Year, which included Bayer Leverkusen.
