Ter Stegen's stay at Girona may be cut short.

Details: According to Jijantes FC, 33-year-old German goalkeeper for Barcelona, Marc-André ter Stegen, who is currently on loan at Girona, has suffered a serious hamstring injury with a possible tendon involvement.

It is reported that Ter Stegen is still undergoing medical examinations and there is no final verdict from the medical staff yet. However, should he require surgery, it would put an end to his stint at Girona.

Ter Stegen joined Girona on a six-month loan from Barcelona this January. He managed to play only two matches for the red-and-whites before ending up in the infirmary.

Last year, Ter Stegen missed a lengthy period due to a back injury, and as we can see, injuries continue to haunt the goalkeeper.

Reminder: Official: Marc-André ter Stegen becomes a Girona player
