Details: In the first semifinal, two Chinese players, Long Zhehuan and Xiao Guodong, faced off. Notably, Xiao Guodong had previously knocked out reigning world champion Kyren Wilson from the tournament. He continued his impressive run, defeating Zhehuan 6:4 and securing his spot in the Wuhan Open final.
In the next match, there was a clear favorite, as world number one Judd Trump took on China's Jiahu Jiahuai. In a stunning upset, Jiahuai dismantled his opponent, winning 6:2, and causing a major sensation. Judd Trump is eliminated from the tournament.
As a result, the final of the 2024 Wuhan Open will feature two representatives from China: Xiao Guodong and Jiahu Jiahuai. The final match is scheduled for Saturday, October 12, starting at 8:30 Central European Time.
