Neil Robertson has won the English Open to win £100,000
Australian player Neil Robertson won the English Open snooker tournament. In the final match he left no chance to Wu Yize from China, winning the meeting of 17 frames with the score 8:7.
Before the start of the tournament, the former number one ranked only 26th and was not among the tournament favourites. However, this did not prevent the Australian from going the whole distance without defeat.

Interestingly, Robertson had only one opponent from the top-10 ranking on his way to victory: in the second round, he defeated Shaum Murphy (No.8). In addition to him, Neil has defeated Jackson Page (#45), Ross Muir (#81), Barry Hawkins (#18), Chris Wakelin (#24) and Wu Yize (#40) at the English Open.
Neil Robertson earned £100,000 for winning the tournament. The defeated will receive £45,000 for reaching the final.
