A second chance for Los Blancos! Real Madrid renews pursuit of Ajax’s Moroccan wonderkid

The Madrid giants are ready to give a second chance to a deal that fell through at the final hurdle a year ago.

Details: Real Madrid have once again revived their serious interest in 17-year-old Ajax Amsterdam midfielder Abdellah Ouazane. According to insider Ekrem Konur, Los Blancos’ scouting department continues to closely monitor the Moroccan talent’s development and plans to revisit the possibility of signing him.

Notably, the midfielder’s move to the Spanish giants was virtually completed in the summer of 2025: the player arrived in Madrid, but the transfer unexpectedly collapsed at the medical stage. He subsequently returned to Amsterdam, where he successfully underwent additional examinations and signed a professional contract with Ajax until June 30, 2028.

It is worth noting that last season Ouazane made 25 appearances and scored 4 goals for Jong Ajax in the Dutch second tier, while also making his debut for the Amsterdam club’s first team, becoming the sixth-youngest debutant in the club’s history. According to Transfermarkt, the 17-year-old Moroccan’s market value is estimated at €1.5 million.
