A revolution is coming to Old Trafford! Top favorite named to replace Carrick

Manchester United’s hierarchy is closing in on a decision to sack Michael Carrick and has already identified his successor.

Details: According to British outlet TEAMtalk, citing Italian media reports, the Red Devils’ chiefs are seriously considering bringing in Antonio Conte. The Italian tactician has emerged as the leading candidate to take charge of the club.

Michael Carrick’s position in the dugout has been weakened by a run of poor results this season. Club chiefs are convinced that only strict coaching discipline and a manager with a proven winning record in English football can turn the situation around.

United representatives have already held preliminary talks with the Italian’s camp to discuss the terms of a potential partnership. The coach himself is open to a return to the Premier League, provided the club guarantees support for his tactical and transfer demands.

Carrick’s fate could be decided definitively as early as next week.

It is worth noting that Antonio Conte has already achieved success in England: in the 2016/17 season, he won the Premier League title with Chelsea, and a year later lifted the FA Cup. He subsequently also managed Tottenham Hotspur.
