A reunion of old friends! Pep Guardiola meets Jordi Cruyff in Manchester
A remarkable meeting took place last weekend in Manchester, where Pep Guardiola hosted the son of Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff, Jordi. Cruyff himself shared this on his Instagram page.
He posted several photos of his visit to Manchester, including shots from the stands at the Etihad during the City vs Crystal Palace match, as well as a picture with Guardiola.
“It was a pleasure to spend a few days with my old team-mates Pep Guardiola and Txiki Begiristain. Big respect for the incredible job they have done. Also nice to enjoy the great vibe of the city of Manchester,” wrote Cruyff.
Notably, in the match Jordi attended, Manchester City pulled off an incredible comeback. The Citizens managed not only to recover from 0-2 but also to win 5-2.
This victory allowed City to climb to 5th place in the Premier League standings, which this season qualifies for the Champions League. Securing a spot in the main European competition is the club's primary goal for the remainder of the season.
