Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix is back in the spotlight—and not for the best of reasons. In the clash against Manchester United, the Frenchman picked up a red card, bringing his total number of dismissals in Europe’s top five leagues since the 2020/21 season to seven.

In this regard, Lacroix trails only one player—French midfielder Téji Savanier, who has racked up eight red cards over the same period. Savanier plays for Montpellier and is renowned for his combative style in the heart of midfield.

Interestingly, Lacroix’s previous six red cards all came in the Bundesliga when he was playing for Wolfsburg.
