A new striker option for Arteta? Arsenal join race for Bournemouth’s rising star
Arsenal are showing serious interest in Bournemouth’s young French striker Junior Kroupi as they look to significantly strengthen their attacking line during the winter transfer window.
Details: According to the respected Daily Mirror, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta highly rates the 20-year-old forward’s pace and finishing, viewing him as an excellent addition for the second half of the season. However, the Cherries are determined to stand firm and have no intention of letting their talented striker leave midway through the current campaign.
The Gunners’ position is further complicated by increased interest from European giants: Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also monitoring Kroupi’s progress and are ready to enter the bidding. If Bournemouth come under pressure from the top clubs and agree to open negotiations, a full-scale transfer battle for the Frenchman will erupt.
It is worth noting that Junior Kroupi first made a name for himself at French club Lorient before successfully adapting to the demands of the English Premier League and earning regular call-ups to France’s youth national teams.
