English giants Liverpool have stepped up their efforts to sign Brentford and Senegal left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf ahead of the summer transfer window.

Details: According to sports insider Ahmadou Bamba, the 20-year-old Senegalese defender’s impressive displays this season have attracted close attention from Liverpool’s scouting department. Representatives of the Anfield club have already made direct contact with the agency representing the highly rated defender to discuss the possibility of a deal in detail.

The Reds’ hierarchy view the youngster as a priority target to strengthen the left side of their defence for the long term. Brentford are aware of the interest from the top club, but expect to command a substantial fee for their rising star should official negotiations begin.

It is worth noting that El Hadji Malick Diouf has rapidly established himself as one of the brightest young full-backs in English football, earning regular call-ups to the Senegal national team thanks to his tireless stamina and excellent attacking contributions.
