After a decade of anticipation, Italian side Cagliari has finally received official approval to build a new stadium.
Details: City mayor Massimo Zedda announced that the city has now been granted permission to construct the stadium. The new venue will be named after Italian football legend Gigi Riva—the iconic Cagliari and Italy national team striker.
We've been waiting for this news for ten years," said the mayor of Bologna.
The project is valued at over €230 million, with the stadium boasting a capacity of around 30,000 spectators.
The arena will be one of the host venues for Euro 2032 matches and is also set to accommodate major concerts and cultural events.
