Reports indicate that Sarri is leaving Lazio, and a deal with Gennaro is set to be signed soon, after which the appointment will be made official.
Gattuso's last post was with the Italian national team, but he was unable to guide the Azzurri to the 2026 World Cup, losing to Bosnia and Herzegovina in a penalty shootout.
Earlier in his career, Gattuso managed clubs such as Hajduk, Marseille, Valencia, Napoli, Milan, Pisa, and Palermo.
