A new challenge. Julián Álvarez commented on his move to Atlético
Julián Álvarez, who made the move from Manchester City to Atlético Madrid this summer, shared his thoughts on leaving one of the world's top clubs and spoke about Diego Simeone and Pep Guardiola. His comments were quoted by Atletico Universe.
"I felt the need for a change in my career, a desire to seek a new challenge. I'm confident that Atlético is the club where I can reach my full potential as a player.
I’ve learned a lot from Pep over the years, but everyone has their own path. Both coaches are among the greatest in football history, and I continue to learn. I’m really excited to work with a coach like Simeone and everything he represents for Atlético and world football," Álvarez said.
As previously reported, Atlético paid €75 million for Álvarez's transfer, with another €20 million potentially available in bonuses for the English champions.
