Gary Neville, a Manchester United legend turned British television pundit, criticized Ukrainian left-back Olexander Zinchenko of London's Arsenal during the Gunners' match against Liverpool.
The Arsenal-Liverpool match concluded in a 1:1 draw, with Liverpool's winger, Mohamed Salah, equalizing after outmaneuvering Zinchenko on the flank.
"You need to just hook Zinchenko, you have to look to the bench now, he's a liability. He loses the ball again against a player like Salah who is world class, what is he doing trying to play in his own half against Liverpool in this type of atmosphere, in this type of game?" told Neville.
Zinchenko has been part of Arsenal since the summer of 2022. In the current season, the Ukrainian national team player has participated in 23 matches and scored one goal across all competitions.
The result at Anfield allowed the Gunners to head into the Christmas holidays as the sole leaders of the Premier League. Arsenal leads Liverpool by just one point. On December 28th, Mikel Arteta's team will face West Ham United at home.
