A Manchester City footballer is set to appear in court over allegations of phone theft


Manchester City midfielder Matheus Nunes has had a strong start to the current season, but the beginning of last month brought a troubling incident for the Portuguese player.
Details: According to El Mundo, on September 8th, Matheus Nunes was arrested at the La Rivera nightclub in Madrid, where he was attending a party.
The footballer was taken to the police station in handcuffs for questioning in connection with the alleged theft of a phone. The accuser claims that Nunes stole his phone when he attempted to take a picture of the player.
Following intervention from Nunes' lawyer, he was released.
This season, Nunes has made six appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
