The Portuguese coach José Mourinho has shared his plans for the future and does not anticipate retiring anytime soon.

In an interview with The Telegraph, "The Special One" stated that he is currently 61 years old but does not believe he will end his career at 65. According to Mourinho, he still has a long career ahead of him.

"What could really change the situation is how much the club desires me. How much the club needs someone and a coach of my profile. And how much feeling and empathy I can have with this structure," said José.

The Portuguese also emphasized that he wants to be evaluated like other coaches and for goals to be set honestly.

"For me, it's important whether the club has goals, and that I can say I'm ready to fight for them. I don't want to say realistic, but at least semi-realistic. Because when I moved to Roma, nobody dreamed of reaching the final of a European cup, and we did it.

It's impossible for me to move to a club that's almost eliminated and the goal is to win the Champions League. That's good, but it's unfair," added Mourinho.

Recall that Mourinho's last job was with Roma. Together with the Wolves, he won the UEFA Europa Conference League and reached the final of the UEFA Europa League. In January 2024, he was sacked. After his departure, Roma won 12 matches, drew three times, and lost thrice.

By the way, the current head coach of Roma, Daniele De Rossi, will remain in his position for the next season. The Wolves' management has decided to extend De Rossi's contract.
